Curious, if I am the only person that goes way way over sugar intake. My whole family is diabetic, so this really worries me. Anyone have any input? Everything has sugar!!

Do you log everything you down to the last crumb? Your diary is closed, so I cannot tell. If you do, you can scan your eating history and quickly see where you may need to alter your eating pattern to accommodate your perceived need to lower sugars.0

Don't worry about going over the MFP sugar limit as it is almost impossible not to, and sort of irrelevant to most people who don't have any medical issues.
If you are worried about diabetes then you need to speak to a doctor about it, and follow any restrictions that they recommend.0 -

Type 1 or Type 2?0 -
I go way over the sugar recommendation. I am just starting to use MyFitnessPal and am starting to work on balancing areas that I did not realize were a problem before. I have noticed I have a big sweet tooth. I am trying to make sure my sugar cravings are satisfied by fruits instead of candy.0

I go way over too, but almost all of my sugar is from fruit, veggies and dairy. I don't have a medical problem, so it doesn't really concern me. It's healthy food that I'm going over with, I'm not giving up my apple and broccoli just to fit the sugar limit :noway:
If the amount of sugar I consumed was ADDED sugar I'd be concerned though0 -
I believe that what others have indicated as well is correct- MFP does not differentiate between added sugar intake and natural sugar intake (as in produce) as far as I can tell. I was pretty worried for awhile myself, until I realized that a good portion of my sugar gram intake was not from added sugar. Perhaps someday this can be revised on the site.0
