FITBIT vs Polar Loop

Okay fit bit and polar users. I'm on the hunt for a new tracker...I know that the fitbit doesnt do the heart rate and polar does. but i'm honestly torn between the two. do i sacrifice the heart rate - potential accuracy - for a tracker that seems to do a little better in everything else?
I know my question is a little vague but i'd like to know what everyone else's luck is

I use Digifit with a 60beat Blue heart rate monitor (via Bluetooth on iPhone) to keep track of running, etc. That syncs online to Fitbit (flex) which syncs to myfitnesspal for total calorie consumption, etc. That combo has worked well with my routine, letting me record my "hard" exercise well and keep track of my steps and eating too. Personally, I don't like any watches I've tried since I seem to need a cheat sheet to use them, but maybe the new Polars are better.0

I've been torn for weeks myself. Not sure which one to get. Here is a comparison: http://versus.com/en/polar-loop-vs-fitbit-flex#polar-loop . I would love to hear from some MFP'ers to help point me in the right direction. Wife thinks I probably don't need it. I am looking to monitor my sleep patterns to see how bad they are. I am also looking for the extra motivational boost. I am usually at a desk or in meetings most of my day.
I don't swim for exercise so it does not have to be water proof. I usually just do elliptical and various exercise dvd's like combat, chalean extreme and T25 when my knee can withstand the pounding. Once and a while I do some cardio exercise classes. I do have a Polar FT7 for a HR monitor for when I do cardio. I probably need to lift more.
I was considering the fitbit flex or the polar loop. I know that if I have to wear it on my hip I will lose it.
Thanks!0
