This is a really simple recipe, quite low calorie, good tasting and really filling.

300ml Orange Juice
200g Rolled Oats
2tbs Honey/Syrup
120g Mixed Dried Fruit
30g of Diced Nuts/Coconut

Bring the orange juice and honey to the boil on the stove.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, fruit and nuts. Make sure it's well mixed.
Add the orange juice mix to the oats etc. Stir together so all moisture is absorbed. The mix should be moist and sticky.
Pack tightly in to an 8"x8" baking dish. Obviously, you can use a different size, but i'd suggest not much bigger/smaller as this allows the perfect thickness (in my opinion).
Place in to a preheated oven. Gas Mark 4 (160-170) for 30-40 minutes. I highly advise a low heat for longer. You don't want the fruit to burn.
Remove and leave to cool.

Really simple! You can get 8 good sized slices from the above. Or 16 bite size. A slice that is the "8" size is approx 230 calories.

Enjoy. A great mid afternoon snack when the tummy is rumbling.

I may well give these a try!

Have a go at this recipe as well:

1 x Tin Light Condensed Milk
    250g x Rolled Oats, 250 g
    75g x Desiccated Coconut
    110g x Dried Cranberries
100g x Mixed Nuts and Seeds
    125g x Redskin Peanuts

Warm up the condensed milk gently (just so that it's easier to mix up with the dried ingredients.

Mix the rest of the ingredients together well and add the milk, it will feel like a very dry mixture at first but it will bind.

Press the mixture into a greased/lined baking tin.

Bake on 140 degrees for 1 hour until golden brown.

Leave to cool for 15 mins then cut slices whilst still in the baking tray. Once totally cooled turn out of the tin and store.

I get a good 21 slices out of this mix and it works out (depending on your exact ingredients) at around the 187 calories mark.

They keep for a good few weeks but I have to give most of mine away once baked as I'm not to be trusted with them in the house!!!

Ooooh nice one. I'll try them! Can't think what that would taste like with the tinned condensed milk.

Only one way to find out! :)

Anyone tried these yet? Any thoughts?

I made a batch yesterday with Glace Cherries. Obviously bumps the calories a little but they taste superb!

I'm getting a bit addicted to eating these. I think as they're a healthy option that tastes "naughty" (dense, quite sweet and a little chewy) it's almost guilt free. Prob shouldn't be eating 2 a day though! But then there are much worse things around.

    NOMMY!

Thank you so much! I love Graze flapjacks, but fail at trying to explain them to my USian friends.

I looooove the Graze flapjacks too. Don't really want orange juice in them though... I'll have to figure out a recipe.

I think the Graze secret is portion control. I'll try wrapping serves in foil, then freezing them.
