Hi there,
I have done detoxes in the past, but since I'm starting to work out regularly again should I detox?
I don't mean the "Only drink lemon water for 3 days" Detox, but a 3 week, cutting out red meats, heavy fats, etc. I have a book on it:

Any thoughts?

I don't think its necessary, instead I'd just focus on your calorie goal and exercise. Drink plenty of water, and your body will naturally detox itself.

Basically this. It's why you have a liver.

Detoxing is what your liver, kidneys, lungs, and various other organs do for you.

Only if your diet includes crack.

There really is no such thing as detox. Unless your overdosing.
    Your body cleanses itself naturally.

I just drink plenty of water, eat at a deficit and exercise regularly. No need to add stress over certain foods I can or can not eat during some supposed magical transformation.

there is no reason to ever 'detox' in terms of food.

You're not doing anything beneficial for yourself when you do these said 'detoxes'.

Detoxing is totally unnecessary. You body naturally detoxes itself.
