The final figures are as follows:

Mean energy expenditure during sexual activity (men):
101 kCal (the same as 101 dietary Calories), or 4.2 kCal/min

Mean energy expenditure during sexual activity (women):
69.1 kCal, or 3.1 kCal/min

So the overall average comes out to roughly 85 kCal (3.6 kCal/min)

I get that in about 7 minutes of running. So it's not exactly a *great* exercise, but arguably it's a lot more fun than some of the alternatives!
