Years ago, i knew i could go to bed around 12.30am be up at 7.30am no problems, no tiredness. Now i have to go to bed between 10pm - 11pm getting up around 6.30am. Though i set my alarm half an hr before i have to be up as i know i take a good half hr to wake up and get motivated to get up. I think it's a mixture for me. Older, different more tiring job, weight loss. Plus i wake every night needing the loo maybe twice a night!

Most people think that sleeping too prone to obesity, extra hour of sleep per night, may help weight loss, lack of sleep but the chance to make the body fat increases.

yep but i think it is more like 1200-1400 since i assume treadmills etc. tend to over estimate my calorie burn since i am in pretty good cardio shape.

against a base calorie burn of 2300

So the problem that you no longer have the energy to stay up late and have trouble getting out of bed..... And you're netting 1200-1400 calories......

I think we may have identified the source of the problem....
