Which diet to follow?

I weighed nearly 350 pounds some days before. It decreased to 225 pounds with a laparoscopic gastric band surgery (done at private weight loss clinic called Credit Valley Clinic at Ontario) .Now i need to lose about 90 lbs to get back to the normal weight Can you suggest me any diet plans or daily exercises(Any tips or tricks?) to achieve this goal?

Calorie deficit. Unless you have a medical reason that you need to eat certain food, just eat less than you burn. You can either use MFP's recommendation for how much to eat or calculate your TDEE (search Google for a calculator) and eat 80% of that. Obviously eating healthy is better than not, but you don't need to cut out all unhealthy food. Just eat everything in moderation.

As for exercise, strength training is a good thing to do, though personally I'd just say do whatever you enjoy most. If you're stuck at home then there are plenty of exercises you can do there without equipment, just things like sit ups, push ups and planks are good. Again, search Google for good exercises to do at home if you want some ideas. But if you really hate exercise, or just are worried you're not getting enough, remember that weight loss is all about diet. Exercise helps, but you'll still lose weight if you're eating the right amount and sitting down all day.

Welcome to the start of your new life. MFP works. You will get various advice here, some will be better than others. I really recommend though you read this and do what it says.

There is no quick fixes, they are illusions in which most people fail. Relatively slowly and sure seems to be the way to go.

Did they give you a meal plan when you had surgery? Can you go back to a doctor or nutritionist from the clinic for followup?

This is the way I do it :-)

With exercising DFairy is correct in that do something you enjoy. I was completely unfit when I started so I started out walking for a few weeks, then swimming and then biking. I go down the gym to lift now as well. Depends on how much time you have. With your current weight I would try and do as much variety as possible to start with. Also don't kill yourself doing it. You need to settle into a long term lifestyle change (Which you can do :-)). It is important that you enjoy what you are doing (Which means for me at least a little hurting but no agony while I'm doing the exercise) . Doing a variety will keep the loads balanced across your joints (I weighed in a 250 and I was sacred of injury because I've hurt myself just running in the past. doing a variety will also help you find what you like best :-)

Get friends here as well as for me MFP is working because of the social side of it. (invite me if you like :-))

    Good luck

I would recommend speaking with your doctor or nutritionist - did they not give you a long term plan to follow? You don't want to undo all the work that you have done - especially as you will be able to eat less at a time after the surgery.

Surely they would have talked this through with you? If not speak to them and ask to see a dietitian

Don't follow a "diet" they never work. If you want long term results you just need to eat healthier. Simple as that. Add more protein and fiber and grains in your diet. Less fat and high calorie foods. If your normal calorie intake is say 2500 calories, reduce that by 500 everyday to lose 1 pound in a week. Etc.
