Okay so yesterday afternoon, I had a tooth pulled. The nurse said to eat a soft diet for the next few days..Okay seriously having an issue with this..Yesterday I made potroast in the crock pot..which i could not eat. I had mac and cheese. And today, all i'm eating is yogurt and drinking tons of water. What else can i eat. I wanna eat pot roast today, but not sure if that's a good idea. I know soup, but really don't want to eat soup. HELP PLEASE

Shakeology!!! No, seriously though, it'll also give you all the nutrients you need too!

Believe me, you don't want to chew on that open socket, or get food jammed in it. If you really want the roast, I suggest pureeing it and adding it to a soup. You won't have to chew, you still get the flavour and nutrition and you won't hurt your mouth.

Don't do it! It will hurt and possibly get infected

Maybe you could just eat the soft veggies that you cooked with the pot roast, like carrots and potatoes? You do not want that stringy meat to get back there. Plus, doesn't your jaw just hurt? That type of meat takes a lot of chewing action even if you keep it on one side. I like puree idea and eat it as a soup. Also, the Shakeology idea is also really good. It does have all that good stuff in it. Having dental work done is the worst! Sorry!

Custard, jelly, mashed (roast) potato... mashed Sweet potato with butter and cinnamon... Im not joking... try it!!!!

Smoothies.... I add Protein powder, strawberries, raspberries, kiwi fruit, bananas, milk, yogurt, frozen yogurt and mix and match... :blushing: Soooo yummy!

This morning for breakfast i had quick oats with apple cinnamon and sultanas... but it would be nice with just the cinnamon.... ?

Roast pumpkin and garlic is my favorite soup!!!:drinker:
  • Take it from someone who went through 5 days of agonizing DRY SOCKET last month, you do not want to mess around with your mouth after an extraction. Puree everything.
