I'm just curious to know what everyone's weight goals are. When is your target date? What are your goals from such and such date to vice versa?
These are my goals for an example...
Journey Started: April 27, 2010
Goals-
10/31- 199 (under 200 pounds!) (196.4)
Thanksgiving- 195
Christmas/New Year's- 185 (aiming for 170 for the christmas challenge, but 185 is my min. goal)
Valentines Day- 175
March 31, 2011- 165
April 30-155 (also the same time i go and see my family after 10 months)
May 28- 150 for me and fiancee 6 year anniversary!
June 30-140..final goal!!

I'm basing my goals on just losing 1.5Lbs per week with the end game of being at 115Lbs by Spring Break 2011. Then like most I've set my mini goals that always feel more attainable based on the 1.5Lbs per week and big upcoming events like the holidays and such.0

I really dont have a set time or weight. I entered 150, although my real goad is a pair of jeans that I wore in 2005. As long as I am eating healthy and exerciseing I know I am on the right coarse.
I am afraid if I set a date and dont reach it, then I would fall temperally off the wagon.0 -
I haven't set any weight goals besides my end weight of 70kg (about 154lb) because I get absolutely crazy and fall of the wagon when I don't reach them or they seem unattainable.
So my goals are:
- log my food every day no matter what
- log into MFP every day and encourage my friends and read messageboards to stay focused
- go for my walks/runs a few times per week
As long as I am moving in the right direction, I am no longer going to put a time frame on it. It doesn't work for me.0 -
Speaking of goals...does anyone know how to post them to your profile?0

My original goal was to have all my health numbers in the "normal" range by age 50.
I got my cholesterol, sugar, and blood pressure in line without losing a lot of weight.
But my BMI was still in the "overweight" category.
I'm now just barely into the "normal" BMI range, so technically, I've hit it, but I want some wiggle room. So I'm hoping to lose another 10-15 pounds.
I'm already slightly lower than I was in high school, but that's not saying much. I'm also very muscular, so I can't get too low without losing a lot of muscle mass.
So I'm shooting for 140. I'm 5'6" and stocky, so I think that's reasonable. My losing has stalled because I can't work out (recent surgery) so I'm trying to be patient and not get too sidetracked.
I'm glad I found this site.0 -
My ultimate goal is 135 lbs but as for "when" I haven't really set a definite date because if I miss a goal at a certain "time" I am bad to let it be a set-back, just a personal thing :ohwell: . . .as for short-term goals, I set my goals for 5 lbs at a time, when I lose 5 then my focus is losing another 5 if that makes any sense
Good luck to all of us on reaching & maintaining our goals. . .I know we CAN & we WILL!!!:bigsmile:0 -
My starting weight was 385 lbs.
My goal weight is 145 lbs. (or until my body feels "right")
I'm shooting for at least 2 lbs a week (at least 8 lbs a month). So far I'm losing about 10 lbs a month and have been for the past 6 months or so. But I know that the weight loss is likely to slow down, so if I slow down to 8 lbs a month I won't be sad about it. lol If I continue to lose 10 lbs a month (I really hope I can) then I will reach goal weight in about 18 months. But not mater how long it takes I'm going to get down to a "normal" size for the first time in my life, and spend my life being vigilant so that the weight doesn't creep back on. This is my life now and working hard to get and stay fit and healthy has brought me a lot of joy and made me feel more alive then I thought possible.0
