Insanity Workout - Information please

Hey all,
I was thinking about buying the Insanity workout DVDs but before I do I just wanted some information please:
How many times a week do you do the workouts?
How long is each workout?
Do you need a lot of space? (I live in a flat with limited floor space in front of the tv but I've managed to do yoga and little workouts before)
Do you get a food plan and I'd so, can someone give examples please?
Thanks :-)

Hey, I would definitely recommend insanity but you have to commit to it. It's not easy and I had to be quite anti-social for 2 months to do the workouts every day and follow the nutrition guide. However it's definitely worth it! The only thing that's really worked for me in terms of fat loss.
It's 6 days of workouts then a rest day. Workouts are 45-60 minutes long. You do need a fair amount of space as there's things like globe jumps where you jump right, back, left forward in a big square but you could maybe modify moves like this or replace with others. A lot you can probably still do in a small place so I wouldn't let that put you off. And finally yes you do get a food plan. It tells you to calculate how many calories to eat, for me it was 1900 which I found very high but you do need to eat enough to lose weight even though it may sound counter intuitive. In month 2 I was eating 1600-1700 a day and the fat fell off. You eat 5 meals a day, each 300-400 cals roughly each and the plan gives you meal options e.g. Smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel, turkey wrap, grilled chicken salad etc. I think you can probs get the nutrition guide off the internet before buying the DVDs.
Good luck and let us know how you get on!0 -

I'm currently doing it. Be prepared for your metabolism to go crazy. I literally have to keep eating in order to not starve to death.0

I think Insanity is the best exercise video series because it's the only one that's not boring. I actually think most of the workouts are fun. I did not follow the nutrition guide and I did the first month without changing the schedule. I thought it was pretty easy to follow because the first month routines are about 45 min each. The second month they get a little longer. I did not find the routines that challenging but I don't do all of the push ups. I would do sit ups instead for about 1/2 the push ups. I do Insanity videos in my home office in front of the computer in about a 10 ft x 6 ft. space. Results are really good. Again the best thing for me is that they didn't bore me (like Tracy Anderson and Physique 57) so I didn't have trouble sticking to them.
Be aware if you live in an apartment that there is a lot of plyo so I don't know if you have people living below you or not but if so, they will get annoyed .0
