Only 1200 calories no matter what?!

No matter what I do, if I change my lifestyle, my weight, my age, etc., my maximum calories are 1200. Shouldn't they vary?

If you lower your weight loss goal .......pounds per week......that should move the number off of 1200.
Keep in mind 1200 is a NET number. When you log exercise in MFP you "earn" additional" calories too. The activty level doesn't include exercise.0 -

Depending on your weight and weight loss goals, it may be a better option for you to strive to lose one pound or a half a pound per week rather than 2 per week. Unless you're very heavy, you should be looking at a more gradual loss, anyway. I'm set at 1740 to lose .5 a week. If I set it to 2 lbs, it would give me 1200 calories, too. (and that would actually only be 1.5 lbs a week, btw).
Check out the link the above poster gave you. Consider lowering your weekly loss goal. If you are set on keeping it at 2 pounds a week, set up an exercise regimen you can stick with to give yourself a little more food.0 -
When you post an exercise, you get more calories added daily0

Sounds like you're short (I'm 5'1 or 2") and/or not very overweight. If either of these apply, you can't lose weight very fast. Set your goal to lose .5 lb. per week. It may not sound like much (obese men can drop double digits on "The Biggest Loser"), but it adds up. I've lost more than 20 lbs. since last Christmas.0
