Who knew I'd actually have choices!

So...I live in a small "city"...ok I'm told where I live is a city (I always call it a town lol), but I moved from phoenix, Az...which is in what... 5th place as far as largest cities go in the USA.
When I moved, it was like life as I knew it ended. Everything closes at 8 except walmart...and EVERYTHING is closed on Sunday (mostly because the majority of the "city" is religious, so I'm told).
I was getting pretty jealous of my friends back in phoenix, who had joined gym classes doing zumba, kick boxing, tybo, water aerobics etc etc etc....! I finally saw Zumba offered at the dance studio here and was super excited...then I heard they had yoga at the community college...when I opened up all the Health & PE classes...I was surprised...there are TONS of options.
So now I really want to do some of these...but I don't know what to do. I don't want to get myself into something that would kill me (my heart rate is already always at like 180 during zumba).
So here are some of my choices....what do you think I should do?
BEGINNING AEROBICS I - emphasizes aerobic kick boxing
CARDIO KICKBOXING I
BEGINNING T'AI CHI CH'UAN I
BEGINNING PHYSIOBALL I
PILATES FOR FUN AND FITNESS I
BEGINNING MIXED MARTIAL ARTS I
BEGINNING HATHA YOGA I
DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS RELAXING OR DEATH YOGA?
BEGINNING CHI GONG I
BEGINNING SWIM AEROBICS I
BEGINNING STRENGTH AND FLEXIBILITY TRAINING I
BEGINNING BODY CONDITIONING I
BEGINNING JOGGING-HIKING I
BEGINNING POMS AND CHEERS I
BEGINNING WEIGHTS I
PS - my current exercise consists of walking, zumba (1-2 week), and modified push ups

Are you limited as to how many of these classes you can sign up for? If not, i would recommend a mix of beginner's mma, jogging-hiking, and strength & flexibility (or body conditioning). Variety will keep you from getting bored and keep your body from getting used to the activity - which causes diminishing returns. If you are only able to choose one (and without having actually seen the course descriptions) I would suggest MMA. Nothing better than getting in shape and learning to defend yourself.0

There are some good choices in your list. I don't know what your comfort level is doing classes but I'd suggest the water aerobics, the begining weights, and the body conditioning.
Have fun!!0 -

Sorry! I had to laugh at this. I moved from a quite large city to a town of 2500 last year! Our closest Wal-Mart is an hour away and we don't even have any where to work out, no gym, no classes, nothing! Occasionally, some local people offer "boot camp" type classes, but that's it.It makes me sad, b/c when I had the options I never used them and now I am stuck doing it on my own.
