Okay.
So, everyone, tell me your favourite genre(s) of music and why it is.

My favourite music is hard rock/metal because ... well... I love mosh pits and I have a love for face-melting guitar playing.

    It varies widely, I'm glad I cannot nail it down. If I had to suggest something right now, check out Postmodern Jukebox, it's quirky and quite cool.

    I really appreciate all genres except heavy metal.

    I can listen to any genre, long as the song is catchy enough. If I manage to get past the 20 second mark listening to a song, I usually like it.

    I will listen to about anything, but Dave Matthews, Eddie Vedder, Mumford and Son's, anything along those lines are my favorites.

    I like most genres but don't really listen to anything Rap, Hip-Hip, and Country.
    I tend to mostly listen to Rock/Metal, Ska, and old school Punk. If it has some good guitar in it, I'll probably listen to it.

    I like 80's new wave music the best of all. It appeals to me in a nostalgic sense because I was a kid growing up back then...and it's also "my kind of music". The newer stuff I listen to tends to be in a similar vein...dance, electronic, etc. I also like old school ska.

    My favorite is blues rock -- with the emphasis on the blues. But I also love straight up blues, classic rock (because I'm old), country, 80's punk, and today's alternative rock.

    have really gotten into it over the years. SRV, Muddy Waters etc.. and lately Kenny Wayne Shepard.... that guy can just flat out play.

    uhh. that's a tough one. probably the current favorite genre is Sludge/Doom, I also love, death metal, grindcore, hardcore, Viking metal and pretty much metal in general.
