Yes I am fishing, BUT
I just feel like I need to hear some words of encouragement. I did SOOOO well the first 2 months into my lifestyle change. I lost 20lbs in 60 days. Did I get cocky? I want to lose more but what's going on here? I told myself 8 more pounds and I would quit smoking. Since then I haven't lost a thing, but actually have gained 2 pounds and feeling REALLY stressed. I was so motivated and so determined. Even when I told myself that I would quit smoking after 8 more. Am I subconciously sabatoging myself? NOW my big issue is I had my IUD removed last week. I am having TONS of trouble with that. HORMONES RAGING :explode:   I've had uncontrollable cravings that I haven't been able to overcome, so I give in. I have extreme fatigue and haven't been exercising. And other things that we won't go into because MEN may read this. lolol. Anyhow. I just need to hear how some of you deal with this stuff. All of it. Stress, Broken Promises to yourself and others, failing.

Well, you KNOW I got your back girl! Like in that thread I started.....don't let the scale get you down.....keep on pushing. Plus, you've got to remember....when you hit your goal weight, you can't just go back to the way things were.......you've got to CONTINUE eating healthfully and exercising. This is a forever thing we're trying to do.......it's a "life style" change, not "a few months till I get where I want to be" change.
I'm just trying to "stay focused" that I'm doing GOOD things for my body, mind, and soul...........*kitten* the scale! Just be healthy and happy.0 -
Also, I wanted to add.........since I've quit smoking.......my muscles don't hurt like they used to when I'd do.......well, anything! They're getting oxygen that they're not used to. I FEEL better overall despite my morning mind-*kitten* with the scale today.
There's a song I always sing when I exercise......."keep on pushing, let your spirits rise, everybody moving, till you see the sun in the sky, keep on pushing."
Just keep pushing0 -
The stress of everything is definitely going to affect your mood and weight loss. You're doing incredible! 20 lbs is fantastic! You have a lot going on. I know you can do this and that you're usually the positive motivator, but sometimes you just need some encouragement. YOU ARE strong, able and willing to change things. You can do this chickie! I believe in you!
Try drinking alot of water. When I quit smoking for Lent, I nursed a bottle of water during the car rides and most of the day. This really helped me. Of course, when Lent ended I went back to smoking...So, I will join you in this :drinker:0 -
here are some tips below
1.Have faith that all your hard work will pay off if you don’t give up too soon.
2.Understand that you didn’t gain weight over night so you won’t lose weight over night
3. if you think you will over eat eat in front of a mirror
4.Avoid alcohol
6.hang your new too-small-clothes in the front of your closet where you can see them
7.Distraction - clean the house when you feel like binging, if you still live at home, your mum will be so
happy about you maybe she'll nagg you less at dinner time plus u'll be burning off cals
8.when you feel like junk food Chew sugar free gum or mints constantly. I am never without one or the other in my mouth. The benefits are endless: it kills cravings, keeps your mouth full so you can't binge, burns calories by chewing
9.Buy a pair of expensive jeans at least one size too small. Try them on right before you eat. You will either not want to eat or will eat less. When you lose enough weight to fit into them properly, reward yourself by buying another pair, again one or two sizes too small.
10.Don't eat in front of the telly that way you wouldnt see all them food ads
IMPORTANT PLEASE READ - When going out, take only the amount of money you'll need and nothing extra. That way you won't be tempted to spend it on food. OR GO GROCERY SHOPPING WHEN/IF YOU'RE HUNGRY.
11.In between each mouthful of food that you eat, take a sip of water. It fills you up and slows down your eating so that you stay in control and the meal doesnt turn into a flat-out binge.
12. Write a note to yourself listing all the reasons you are finally ready to lose weight. Keep this letter with you at all times, for inspiration.

I just emerged from a week of self sabotage. It ALWAYS happens when I'm on my cycle. ALWAYS. I've gotten back to my eating plan mostly and am trying to get back into the exercise swing of things. It hard but I have to keep reminding myself that this is for me and its ok to fall off the wagon as long as I get back on. Easier said than done but maybe the more I practice hopefully the better I will get at applying it and the less time I get off track. You can do this. Smoking is hard. I always want to smoke when I drink but not drinking helps with the not smoking. Also, I hear green tea is awesome for trying to quite smoking. This is a lifestyle change and it takes a long time to create a new lifestyle. Dont be hard on yourself. Hormones make us do CRAZY things.0
