Meals/Breakfast

I'm trying to stick to 1,200 calories/day.

Which meal is normally your largest calorie wise?

I've read that breakfast should be your biggest meal and that it should contain a lot of protein. The problem is that I don't care for eggs. Any tips will be appreciated!

try to get in most of your calories at breakfast and lunch and leave the least for dinner bc youll burn most of wat u eat during the day rather then dinner when you may be goin to bed soon
  • I eat Kashi Go Lean cereal and skim milk and it has 22 g of protein.

Good question!!! I like to eat plain oatmeal for breakfast, sometimes with fruit in it (raisins, strawberries, blueberries etc.), with a tiny bit of brown sugar... it is always my smallest meal of the day (dinner being my largest)... I was wondering that too!
  • I eat a light breakfast (weetabix or oatmeal with some flakes for crunch and milk), a small lunch, an afternoon snack of fruit and cheese and then dinner with the family. Most of the calories are at dinner.
  • Breakfast is my biggest meal. And I'm allergic to eggs and milk. I sometimes have some gluten free cereal with soy milk and fruit when I have time...... Otherwise---- Smoothies, add protien powder. I use hemp and soy milk, greens, berries..... I also like brown rice, miso soup and steamed greens in the morning when time allows. I put tofu in my miso soup to add protien. Scrambled Tofu is delish! Depending on my mood, I add whatever flavors and veggies look good that morning. Otherwise, I'm not a traditional breakfast person.... as you can plainly see..... I'll eat dinner leftovers too.

Dinner is always my heaviest calorie meal. I've tried spreading my meals/snacks out evenly but I tend to fail. I don't really think it matters that much as long as your meals are balanced and nutritional.

As far as protien- scrambled tofu is super yummy! And my kids LOVE dinner for breakfast so we have cold spaghetti frequently for breakfast.

    Good luck!!
  • I usually try to have lunch as my biggest meal. My breakfast is usually a small bowl of cereal (200 cal) or half or a bagel with light cream cheese (200 cal)
