Is there such a thing as intermittent intermittent fasting?

Hello, so here's what I have been doing for about a month.
Sunday night I stop eating at 7pm, I have lunch the Monday between 11am-2pm depending on how busy I am and eat my last meal at 7pm. I continue this cycle from Sunday to Thursday evening. Friday I eat whenever I want, to include past 7pm. Saturday I do a cheat day. And Sunday, I start over again.
So:
Sunday - Eat when I wish, track calories. Begin fast at 7pm
Monday - Feeding window: Anywhere from 11am-2pm until 7pm, track calories
Tuesday - Feeding window: Anywhere from 11am-2pm until 7pm, track calories
Wednesday - Feeding window: Anywhere from 11am-2pm until 7pm, track calories
Thursday - Feeding window: Anywhere from 11am-2pm until 7pm, track calories
Friday - Eat when I wish, but track calories
Saturday - Cheat day, eat when I want, what I want, no tracking
When I say track calories, I mean stay under my MFP goals. I also work out 5-6 days a week, burning anywhere from 300-1000 calories each workout, it varies.
Is this intermittent fasting?
It's been a month, I have been losing weight pretty steady, plateauing here and there, but not terrible. It's to be expected I'm at my comfortable weight. Any suggestions?

Does it matter? If you like it, and it helps you stay under your calories, go for it. I often have coffee for breakfast, which I guess is "intermittent fasting", or just having coffee for breakfast.0

Intermittent fasting is just a trick to get yourself to eat less. If it works for you, do it. It makes no actual difference.0

Thanks any other takers0

In terms of just weight loss, there is no real benefit. But some people do wonderfully with it because it is sustainable for them, which is important for your diet.0

You've been plateauing within a month's time of doing this method? Maybe I'm not clear about what a plateau is.0

I follow a similar style of eating because it helps me control my calories without feeling too deprived. I usually eat between midday and 9pm. I don't think that there's any special benefit apart from helping control intake so there should be no problem if you choose to do it 5 out of 7 days if it suits you. There's an intermittent fasting group if you're interested.0

Sure, why not?
it's your thing, do what you wanna do :drinker:0
