September 2013 I hit a very fugly 285-
2014- looking for 300 lbs.0 -
My wife pulled a really solid 225 at 5'2" and 105lbs with a belt and chalked hands. Pretty proud of her.
Since then she started a business and has fallen off at the gym so she hasn't been even attempting anything heavy0 -
A week ago I pulled 220 at 5'7" and 180. I'm going to lift a gigantic 340 lb. stone in Iceland in 2014.0

2013 best : 200lbs
Height : 5'7"
Weight : 144.6
2014 goal: 225lbs0 -
Hit 315 pounds, just chalk, at 5'8.5" and 165.
Goal assuming no surgery on my shoulder, is to hit 4050 -
Was working on 225 when I had SI joint issues. (5'7", 142 lbs.)
Would like to be able to deadlift again, period- ortho doc says it's not suggested. Would like to get it into the 300 range in '14.0 -

Honestly i don't know what my PB is because I haven't tried, I will tomorrow! but what i do is 8 reps of 100 lbs but it's easy I could probably do hmm 200 or a little more for 1 rep. I'm 5'8" and 1600

265lbx5
On my way to 300lb
5'3.75" 145lbs0 -
I'm pretty new at it. I don't have a personal best because I'm doing stronglifts 5x5 so I'm just adding progressively heavier weight each time. My last was 80kg which is about 176 lb.0

I plan to get there first.0 -
My last set this week was 265lbs...that has been my max for a few weeks, but my starting weights have been increasing. I was scared of deadlifts for ages and avoided them for months, so impressed with my efforts!
5ft5, 150lbs0 -
PB in the gym: 112.5kg (247.5lbs) @ 151lbs.
PB in competition: 115kg (253lbs) @ 148lbs.
5'8
Goal for this year, 140kg (308lbs) would be nice as that's 3 plates0 -
I'm only doing 4 x 6 reps @ 75kg (165lbs) after a lower back injury. How do you test your 1RM without going too far and causing injury? Do you literally do an 'easy' weight for 1 rep and keep going and going until failure?
You ladies rock, by the way! Women who deadlift. Heaven haha!

If I am actually going for a 1RM (as opposed to a working session single) I usually do a bunch of warm up sets at a very low weight, and then start upping the weight and dropping the reps until I get to about 60 - 70% of my actual 1RM and then ramp up with singles from there, depending on how I feel.
This may be helpful - its more 'regimented' than I do now but it's useful imo when doing them for the first couple of times: http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sports_body_training_performance/how_to_warm_up_for_a_onerep_max0 -

I've never worked out my 1rm of anything - I'm not in to comps in that way, and I'm not particularly interested in knowing
I had to start again with deads after hurting my back too - I feel stronger than before though, and working on my form with lighter weights was probably a great thing!0 -
I deadlift less than women! Fail!
Time to roid.....0 -

Have no shame haha :flowerforyou:0 -
Inspiring stuff. Thanks for all your feedback, however lbs means nothing to me I have to convert it. Im talking 1 rep max as well, so you ppl can probably lift more.
I also took a video of myself this week and my form is shocking. Ive been training with a female bodybuilder all year and Im annoyed to say the least that she didn't tell me this a year ago. So now I need to correct my form before I go heavier.
Any one know they have shocking technique and what did you do to help?0 -

Plenty of people who lift don't lift correctly!
I didn't have terrible form, but it is a lot better since our physio became our training partner! He's also an ex bodybuilder (possibly future), he is a stickler on form and doesn't let us get away with anything!0 -

I got a personal trainer. Expensive but worth it. My form is good.0 -
I've been doing Stronglifts for a couple months, took a couple weeks off and my last weight deadlifted was 185 lbs. Today, I'll add 10lbs. My height is 5'7" and I weigh 201 lbs.0
