Hey everyone,
I'm a 30 year old mom of two boys and I'd really like to find some friends to check in with every day on mfp. I lost twenty pounds last year and would like to lose twenty more. Or even maintain my current weight. I pretty much stopped logging for the month of December and went crazy. I need to get back on track and start sticking to a moderate daily calorie goal. Anyone else looking for support to lose the last twenty or maintain? Add me, I'd love to keep up with some new supportive and motivational friends.

I have been trying to lose the last 20 for a few years lol. I've given up....I don't mean this in a bad way....I mean my focus has shifted. I'm not worrying about the number on the scale anymore, i'm looking more towards body fat percentage and inches. My body likes both fat and muscle so I think I will just replace one with the other from here on in. I would like to lose 20 lbs but I don't think its really realistic for me so any weight loss will be a welcomed gift but not my focus. Its taken me a very long frustrating year to realize this but i'm glad that I finally have. I log on mfp everyday. I never eat lower than my bmr, so ensure that you are eating at least that to keep your body going. A lot about me is in my profile. I have 4 kids (3 that live with me at home) and I am a fulltime university student (2nd career).
Make a plan for yourself and believe. I will try to give you as many tips as possible that worked for me, but most are in my profile
Take it day by day. You can do it! For binging, plan ahead your meals and keep a log of times of hunger and how you feel, this can help you find triggers. My trigger was always around 4 pm when I was driving home from work (when I was working) and I was famished so by the time I got supper going I would eat like 3 bowls of cereal and whatever else I could find to fit in my mouth....when I realized this I brought fruit with me to eat on my way home so that I wasn't famished by the time I was home.
Hope some of that helps.

You binge, you stay fat. You stay fat, you might die before you meet your grandchildren.
You take whatever motivation out of that you want.0 -

Gee if only a psychological and emotional disorder like binging was that easy to overcome with logic!0 -

Gee, if only sarcasm was an effective way to express an opinion and make a legitimate argument. She said nothing about having a disorder. All I got out of her post was she was eating too much food. Not every binge has a back story.0 -
You can add me.
Make your diet work for you so it becomes a lifestyle. I find if I'm too restrictive I will binge in the end.0 -

Aaaaand not every post on the motivation board is motivational.
OP, I'd like to be your friend. I have more than 20 to lose, but I'm also looking for people to check in with on a regular basis. I'm active in the binge war as well. Lost a battle with pizza this evening, but still fighting.0 -
Hey! I also got a bit lost in December, add me! The more friends on MFP, the better0

I think I'm going to bang my head against the wall if the scales say no one more time to me!! Lol just making me think losing 4 stone is gonna be harder than losing my first stone an half0

I went crazy over December too, and over two thirds of January. December I was very ill with a chest infection and flu for most of it though.
I also struggle with binge eating, but I do have a background of eating disorders, which I am just about recovered from. Just a few mental roadblocks left.
Feel free to add me as long as you are eating 1400 calories or more TOTAL. I find people eating less than that too triggering still, plus do not agree with it in general.0
