Any Short Women Losing Weight On 2,000 Calories?

I have just upped my calories to 2,000, and it's hard to believe I could lose weight eating that much. However, I was still losing 2 pounds per week on 1800. I only want to lose 1 pound per week, but all along have been losing 2. I started on 1500, went to 1600, 1700, and recently 1800. I'm 5'2", and 53 years old. I walk and/or weight train most days of the week.

I am 5'3" and 50 and having trouble losing at 1200 - 1500. I think I need to look at your diary and see what we are doing differently!0

Depends on how much you weigh, if you are short and heavy then yes you can lose on 2000 cal.0

I weight 210, I am 5'4, 33 years old female, exercice 4 to 6 hours per week and can lose on 2000.0

God I'm jealous. 5'10 and struggling to lose on 1500.0

Well, I started out at about 166. Now weigh about 142. The scale I use tends to weigh things at more than they are, so I'm probably about 140.0

Did MFP set your calorie intake at 2000 cals? I find that a bit high considering I'm 5"2 and punched in lose 1lb per week and my calorie allowance is 1240. I've lost 5 pounds in 1.5 months eating at 1240.0

If I include my exercise calories I lost all of my weight on over 2000 cals, without exercise it was 1600-1900. I'm 5'3.75"0

If I ate 2000 calories a day, I'd definitely gain weight. I'm 5'1" and 43.0

After finishing my bulk I am actually losing on 1800-2000 calories a day. I am 5'2'' 130ish lbs.0

I'm talking total calories. I have not used the MFP method. I have used the TDEE method.0

If you're exercising 5 and 6 days a week, especially lifting, at your height and weight, of course you're going to lose on 2100 calories.
I did P90x and I started Insanity. Both 2500 calories a day.
There are two ways to lose weight ( well more), less calories each day, exercise 3 days a week, or 6 days a week, intense exercise and more calories than your maintenance caloric intake. Both work. You just need to decide which one is for you.0
