Ladies around 5'4''! What's your max bench & max leg press?

I don't have any friends my height who work out at all, so I can't compare myself to an average to get an idea of where I'm at. Max leg press is 540+lbs (I max out the machine with potential for more) and max bench is 90lbs (and this just about kills me).

Thanks in advance! :)

120 Bench and I don't leg press, but my back squat is 200. I've been working at it a while, though so I'm probably a bit above the average you're looking for.

I think that weight is more important than height when comparing lifts.

    I weigh 123 lbs. I bench 80 and I don't leg press.

What is a back squat? (Stupid question, probably. Sorry!)

What's a barbell?! Literally all my strength training-y things are on weight machines.

I work out alone. I don't know my max, that would be dangerous.

5 rep max is 115 bench. 175 squat

dumbell are the weights you hold in each hand. barbell is the long bar you bench with.

you seem experienced. I'm gonna head to the gym once I lose another 5kg for toning etc. What is best exercise for the legs when it comes to weights?

I recommend not waiting. Adding in resistance training while you're losing weight is the best way to minimize muscle loss while losing weight. You don't want to just be a smaller version of what you are now, right? You want to keep the muscle and lose the fat. Otherwise, your metabolism just keeps getting slower and slower.

Please refer to section 2) Exercise in http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1080242-a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants?hl=guide+to+sexypants.

My max bench is around 65-70lbs and my max leg press is 540 lbs. I have pretty strong legs.... :blushing:

So we're even on the legs :) And pretty close on the bench, too! What a huge disparity between bench & leg press!

LOL "video or it didn't happen" is kind of a compliment- it's a tongue in cheek way of saying "That's above my expectations"

PS 200 is my tested max, working sets of 5 are 185 currently. And, FTR, I squat full depth, too.

....and it's not even close to the max of a few of my female friends on here!
