I did Scotland 2013! It Killed me! Though that hasn't stopped me signing up again for this year!

    My advice would be:

Run outdoors, uphill/on the beach, different terrains when training. I found the sheer distance a challenge, but I'm not a runner.

Master the pull up - the walls and monkey bars are quite difficult I found.

The ice bath was the hardest part - a tough mental challenge - but you feel amazing afterward.. I don't have advice on preparing for this one - short of having one at home.

If you have people going to support you, have them equipped with lots of water and bananas for energy - I was burnt out 3/4 of the way through and had to walk the rest of the way. Also try those pouches of energy liquid you can get from go outdoors or similar (don't know what they're called).

On Everest, run as fast as you can, and then keep running. Don't stop half way up.

Have fun! There is such a lovely/supportive atmosphere there.
