T25: Skipping Alpha

I'm starting T25 this Jan 6 and I was wondering if it would be a great idea to skip Alpha and go straight to Beta because I've read that Beta is more challenging.

I wouldn't I am on the Beta phase right now and Alpha is the foundation for Beta. just try and up your intensity.
  • I'm doing T25 right now and on my 4th day of it. I would suggest that you go ahead and start off with Alpha then do Beta. I have done P90x2 and Insanity and I have been going to the gym for over a year now. Alpha is still pretty challenging and worth going through. Why put money into something and only use half of it.

    This.

Also, Alpha is nothing to sneeze at. I sweat like a fool during the Alpha workouts, and prior to starting Alpha I've been lifting heavy, running, and taking boxing class for the last 1.5 years, so I consider myself to be in decent shape.

    I'm mixed on this one.
On one hand, Alpha definitely pales in comparison to Beta and Gamma, but Alpha is still great as a standalone workout and it does build you up for what you're going to be doing in Beta and Gamma.

I'd say that if you had already gone through one cycle of T25 (Alpha to Beta to Gamma), then I would say skip it.
If this is your first time with T25, then I would definitely do Alpha.

Its actually not my facebook group, but rather one I am a part of. I am not currently doing T25, but many people in the group are. It is a group for people involved in Shaun T programs. I joined it for Hip Hop Abs, but am doing LesMills Combat right now. I just thought it would be a good resource, where others doing the program could help.
