As someone who works for McBurger Corp. I eat there everyday I work because it's free/cheap. I still lose weight because I count my calories.0

I don't eat it every day, as I just don't want to eat it every day lol. But I have not cut out fast food. I have been known to down a large quarter pouder meal with the best of them...lol...0

Calories in vs calories out. You can have a burger every day and lose weight.
Fast food is just not good for your body.0 -
It is not the best stuff on Earth to eat.0

My philosophy has always been, anything in moderation!0

Of course it isn't the healthiest choice, but the point is that it doesn't have to be eliminated. Also, you cannot outrun your fork!0

I agree that you can lose weight and eat fast food, but I don't. I really like fast food and know that if I go down that road, I will end up back where I started, with feeling that I "deserve" to nibble on Wendy's fries in the car while running errands, or letting myself bring dinner home from a hamburger place.
So I haven't had any fast food since June 2012. If I want a hamburger, I either make it myself or go to a nice locally-owned restaurant.0 -
I eat fast food 3-4 times a week. Did this while losing weight and still do it now that I'm in maintenance (actually had a regular Whopper and fries for lunch today ). But, what I did change is no longer getting regular soda and super sizing my fries. I also do things like share my Steak n Shake malts with my husband now, instead of having a whole one myself. I no longer get a side order of cheese sauce at Arbys. And the list goes on. Little things like this make a big difference and allow me to continue eating the foods I like, while still maintaining my weight loss :drinker:0

Fast food is just not good for your body.
Why do you say that?0 -
You can...but why?
Just kidding, I'm a total food snob and foodie in general which I know isn't most people. I can't stand the stuff and eat it very rarely...think the last time I had it was in August on the road to Colorado because I just wanted to keep rolling...0 -
Just speaking the words McDonalds makes me have to poop!0

Everything in moderation. I try and make it a treat. I eat low cal lunches at my desk and rarely go out. The reason I stopped going out is because there were so few choices I can make and not blow the calorie budget for the day. Even the stuff that isn't fried is just heavy on carbs and sodium. Auditing everything takes the fun out of it.0

Question is, why would you want to?0 -
I think this is one of the biggest epiphanies I've had on this journey. That there is no such thing as "BAD" food.
Now, with that said, I don't think a diet of fast food everyday is necessarily the best thing for you, and I happen to like the taste of whole foods, home cooked meals, crispy vegetables, etc. But a McDonalds hamburger is, to me, the same thing as a chocolate bar - sinful, delicious, and definitely worth indulging in once in a while.
I'd rather be at a healthy weight, and fit, and include the "junk food" I like in my diet (in moderation) than be overweight, unfit, and eating "healthy" all the time (BTDT).0
