Hello,
That is dry (i.e. before you cook it) It just about doubles in volume, so a full cup of cooked quinoa is actually about 370 calories. It is also a complete protein, which is good for you if you are a vegetarian. All of the amino acids are present in roughly equal amounts. Quinoa is very high in protein and in many of the vitamins and minerals needed for health. It's a great grain, originally from South America. If you'd like recipes or anything, I'll be happy to supply you some.

Hehe...it's just calorically dense. It's high in carbohydrates and even has a moderate amount of protein. It's very filling, so I don't think you'd even need a cup of it. Plus your values will be different between a cup of dry versus a cup of cook quinoa.0
