Felt dizzy in morning running in evening

Hey There,

I usually run 4-5 days a week ... 4-5 km each day.

As usual, I ran 4.2 km on last evening but today morning when I was in the office I felt dizzy and felt like there was a earthquake (but there was not).

Could you please advise if this is normal or Am I doing something wrong ?

Note: My diet is as follows:
2 cup Tea
1 cup juice
2 Bread Slick with Butter/Jam/Cheese for Breakfast
One rice dish in lunch
One Whole wheat dish in dinner
Water: 3-5 Litter
Fruits: 1 Apple and some time grapes as well
Energy drink (500 ml) immediately after running

Regards,
Abhi

Um. How many calories does that add up to? Maybe you need to eat something? Because that doesn't seem like a lot.

But what the hell do I know. I don't run.

Yikes, if I ran 4.5 km and ate only that, I'd have more than a headache, probably faint from too little nourishment.
  • That doesn't seem like nearly enough food for that amount of cardio. And I think your body is letting you know.

I was once teaching after a morning run and it was a lifesaver that I had had a Clif Bar in my professor purse, otherwise I would have passed out. I felt exactly like what you described and the distance was about the same but I neglected to eat a proper breakfast. I second (third? fourth?) considering eating a bit more after running.

If you are dizzy it's because you aren't eating enough.

It's your blood sugar- you're not eating enough food and it's all carbs.

Eat more, and include some protein and fat.

    ahhhh, very interesting.

i an can assume that by "One Whole wheat dish" the OP meant "one hundred, maybe 200 total calories of some bland, protein free consumable product"?

i think i am beginning to see the problem

side question, why would you drink an energy drink AFTER running? Wouldn't it be better to drink it before, if at all?

I agree on the you aren't eating enough comments. Dizzy and headaches are the side effects of not enough food in you.

well duh, it's because you want to do your cardio while energy-fasted so that all your burns come from your stored energy. and then you drink your replacement energy drink within 30 mins after your exercise. do you even broscience?

I'm still working on my broscience skills, these things like stored energy and replacement energy are confusing. I'll google up some broscience web sites and study more.
