Big Goals to a Better Life Style

Hey everyone! I am looking to develop a support team on here not just for me but so I can motivate you as well! My goals include losing 125 pounds by my birthday next year (2/16/15.) Never eating fast food again, and living to see 90. Current I stand at 350 pounds removed from the 215 pound 8% BF% version of myself 8 years ago. I have put on 80 pounds in the last 4 years when my father passed away and I am essentially killing myself. So far I have found my motivation with my girlfriend who I would like to marry some day and live a long healthy happy life with, seeing my familys history of health (its rough), and watching people who have done what I want to do. I often watch the shayloss vlog on youtube to get ideas.

My plan is to weigh myself once a week with goals in place for the next year. I am going to switch between 2 diets which is somewhat in place now and completely in place on Monday. Right now I am eating very healthy but I want to flush my body of toxins and eliminate cravings. Starting Monday for 3 weeks I will only be eating fruits, veggies, nuts and a protein shake. By putting an end time on this it is much easier for me to keep focus on my end goal. The next 3 weeks will be the same diet with meats added in and maybe a cheat meal once a week (nothing crazy I wont be eating pizza or McDonalds.) After 3 weeks of that I will revert back to the veggie/fruit/nut/protein diet, and continue to switch every 3 weeks.

Unfortunately I am in the middle of changing jobs. My job recently had a massive paycut and threat of layoffs so until I have a new one, I will not be able to join a gym. My workouts will consist of body weight resistant excersizes (and I have a lot of weight to use) running, walking my dog, pushups, situps etc.

I am looking for anyone who wants to stay dedicated to achieving your goals and having a support partnership all around! I plan on blogging often (possibly daily) and may even set up a youtube channel but I am kind of a boring person so we'll see about that part!

Lets all get together and achieve our goals!

You did the hardest step - the first step - joining MFP. Congrats!

I'll be be glad to help...been on here for about 2 years now and log daily. I lost 75 pounds - gained back 40 - and lost that again. I have a ton of filling foods that are delicious and low cal.

Send me a friend request if you are interested.

Right on! I'm glad to see you're ambitions and ready to change. & I totally agree with the never eating fast food again goal (YUCH), I ate SO MUCH in the past 6 months. :S

Feel free to add me, I'll be active with my updates so you'll stay encouraged that someone else is in this journey with you!

P.S. Make sure to drink those eight 8oz glasses of water every day! That will help you detoxify even more. :) & Try to keep up with your food diary as much as possible, I feel that helps me keep track much better than I was previously.

Best of luck on your healthy living journey, it truly is a lifestyle change, and I am glad you're taking the first steps in the right direction! :)
