New to MFP - But not to Low Carb

Hello friends!

I'm new to this site and the MFP App. I follow a low carb, high fat, adequate protein diet. Looking for buddies here to be sociable with, trade recipes, provide encouragement, etc.

Feel free to add me as a friend.

Thank you, and have a wonderful day!

I am new also we can learn together
  • Hi everyone :)
In 2013 I tried everything to lose weigh... Counting calories, juicing, DietChef...
I did manage to lose weight but gained it all back in no time.
I started the low carb diet on the 1st of Jan after reading a lot about it.
I would love to hear about your journeys.
Happy new year and best of luck for all of you!
  • I love Dana Carpender's 1001 Low Carb recipe book! Check it out
  • Thanks for the tip! Will do!
  • I have my division of calories at 20% carbs, and then 40/ fat and protein. Just started here on Jan. 1st., would love new friends doing similar things.

I started LC/HF a month or so ago, and have FINALLY starting losing weight without counting calories or exercising like a maniac. Currently I'm eating 15% carb, 20% protein, and 65% fat. I love it! My blood sugar is now a normal 80; blood pressure 122/72. Both had been sky high for many years. I recommend "What Can You Eat When You are Cutting Carbs?" http://www.phlaunt.com/diabetes/18856280.php and "LCHF for Beginners" http://www.dietdoctor.com/lchf to get started on your journey. Would love to make new friends!
