Hi all! I have a tendency to eat everything in sight when going to a party. Like tonight. I have a party to go to and worry about my self-control and throwing my hard work away. We will be drinking wine and eating appetizers. Anyone have suggestions on how to enjoy the food and wine without going crazy?

Any suggestions would be great!

Amy

I found, for me, that eating a real meal before I go. Its amazing how full you are so you don't think about snacking. And always remember the calories from the snacks and drinks you are putting into your body. Chew gum, it helps as well. Good luck.:flowerforyou:
  • I agree with using gum as a way to stop frm eating everything in sight. Also, at parties I try to alternate wine or beer with water. So if I have a glass of wine then I will have a bottle of water. It helps to keep your hands busy and also helps prevent overdrinking.
  • (1) Eat before you go. (2) Locate the veggies, and skip the dip. :)

    Good luck!
  • Keep some water close by! Try to eat what you do take really slowly (savour every bite)...and I like the idea of going already full! Hang in there! Don't be too hard on yourself if you have a few extra bites. Just remember though how much work it takes to work it back off! (I've been "treating" myself way too much the last few days....which means things are at a standstill.)

    Enjoy your party!
