staying focused

Options
I have been tracking in the past two months. I have not been consistent but continue to have a desire to succeed. The weather has impacted my ability to work out. Trying to exercise at home on those cold days. My boyfriend likes to cook for me so this also impacts my eating habits. He has taught me to eat more at home. This helps but he likes to eat potatoes and other foods that I probably should not eat. Any suggestions?

    Suggestions:

    Track everything
    Eat what meets your goals
If your boyfriend cooks something that doesn't meet your goals, eat something else OR only eat the reasonable portion that does meet your goals. There is no single food that is "wrong", the only question is in what serving size of that food will keep you within your goals. (Unless you have an allergy or some medical reason to avoid certain things).

Ditto the above on eating. Maybe help your boyfriend find some new healthy recipes to try together.

register for a race. great way to stay focused by having a day to be ready on, and ready to perform, instead of just focusing on aesthetics.

Ask for his help. If he likes to cook he might like the challenge of making healthier meals. I found asking for help rather than telling my DH you know I can't eat that really helped.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. I am a Zumba freak but have not exercised over the holidays. Will restart this week. One problem, my asthma kicked in yesterday with bronchitis. Doing better today but will have to wait til this weekend to shake my hips. Also, I am a tennis player who has been o!t for three months due to foot surgery. Just invited to a team today! Lastly, my boyfriend, fiancé, made his potatoes for himself and made extra spinach for me. He is trying to meet my goal. Thank you again to all of my supporters for a New Year of successes!
