hi all I just worked out my BMR because some people have been concerned about how little calories I have been eating.
I currently eat about 1000-1200 calories because this was what my GP suggested (note I'm not under his supervision I dont see him regularly he just mentioned it one visit when I went in about something else). So according to this website https://www.michellebridges.com.au/bmr-calculator/ my BMR is 2873 calories so should I eat all of these and still easily lose weight or should I cut this by a certain amount? any help would be nice :) for you reference my weight is 210kgs and my height is 175 cms.

That seems incredibly low. The general idea is to not eat below BMR because it will slow your metabolism. The desired rate of weightloss can determine the deficit you should be at. Ex. the 500 calorie deficit will help you lose ~1 lb/week.

It may help to point this out to your GP and get more detail/help with this so that you do it safely.

Here is some great information on BMR-TDEE and % that you should eat.

With lots of my obese clients, I have them just eat 30% less than their TDEE. Some can't exercise that much due to joint pain and other movements due to being so overweight, so this is a good shot for them to take.
So if your TDEE is say 3500 and we subtract 20% from that it ends up being 2400 calories to consume per day.

I've been toying around with my goals and calorie range since the beginning of the year http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ was super helpful in figuring out what your calorie range should be based on bmr and even breaks down calories per meal based on your goals :)

yeah ninerbuff thats the position im in I cant do alot of exercise so Im trying to lose weight from my diet for a while and hopefully as exercise becomes easier i can do more. I just looked up my TDEE and its 3495 calories so if I take 30% from that ill get about 2446 calories.
