Hi, I've recently picked up jogging again. I was active up until 4 or 5 months ago and pretty much since then have done nothing. I've changed my diet drastically and have started jogging again. My question is, how often should I go until I get back up to speed. I went Thursday and my legs have only stopped aching today so I went again, although in all honesty I didn't cool down the first time which could be linked to it.

I'm male, 18, 6ft 1, fairly big build and a little over 14 stone and am aiming to lose around a stone. Should I pick up the intensity of my runs in a couple of weeks or should I increase the distance? At the moment I've done a couple of 3.5 mile runs at just under 10 minutes a mile, no idea if that's any good, thanks.

Maybe try 3-4 times a week to start with, but keep distances short. If you're just starting up again, you'll need to build up gradually.
Also, if 10 minute mile is uncomfortable, slow down...time on your legs is the most important thing and there's no real gain in running too fast.
