Over my sugar allowance every day!

Every day I log my food in my diary, I end up being over my sugar allowance, even if I am under my caloric allowance for the day. I know a lot of this sugar comes from fruit and some pre-packaged things (granola bars) but its discouraging to see that I am over my sugar allowance every day by 10+ grams. Also, when I complete my daily entry, even when I am under my caloric goal, being over the sugar allowance sends my "weight in 5 weeks" skyrocketing, so that is also discouraging. Does anyone have any insight into this? Should I generally ignore that number? or should I eat more vegetables, less fruit? Etc... Thanks!

If a teacher can lose weight eating only Twinkies then I say ignore the sugar intake unless you are diabetic or way over your calorie intake. :happy:0
