According to the date under my name, it looks like I've been around here a very long time. Sad thing is, I don't even remember signing up that long ago. Must have been one of my more feeble attempts in the past.

Anyway, somehow I found my way back and I have been lurking/logging for almost 2 weeks now. I'm a 43y/o wife and homeschooling mom to 5 kiddos. Between that and working part time for hubby, my life is insanely crazy.

Weight-wise... I was doing well and stopped weighing myself about 6 months ago. Then right before Christmas I put on a pair of jeans and couldn't get them zipped up :( ...Time to get back on the wagon.

The last few days have been quite relaxing for me and I have had the luxury of spending lots of time reading these boards, but tomorrow my life starts back up again and I won't be able to be here very much if at all. However, I would love to have some friends that I could check in with daily to help keep each other on track.

I love to run. I'm not any good at it...have lost track of how many times I've started/finished c25k. Seem to be injury prone. I am planning on starting it once again in the spring (when temps rise above 0)

I would love to hear from anyone that has a very busy lifestyle and how you keep up with a healthy diet/lifestyle. Also, so far I've been eating mostly pre-packaged foods that I can just scan into the log (I love that feature!), but I'm not sure what to do when it comes time to making my family homemade meals and how to log that kind of thing.

And finally, this week I'm on a soft food diet due to some teeth injuries...I'm doing pretty good...have somehow managed to keep my macros in balance.... but would appreciate any input/ideas anyone may have.

Thank you!

Welcome! My busy lifestyle is one of the reasons I have put on the weight.... For me, it has been learning about foods, and re-working what I eat all together. I personally have found eating mostly unprocessed foods and cutting out most carbs has helped me dramatically. Feel free to add me to your friends list if you would like support :)

I would love to check in and share ideas with you. I am extremely busy mom of 2 teens and I work full-time.
