Hi,

I just reecently finshed my second time doing Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 and I think that it kept be from total holiday blow-up Thanksgiving through New Year's. I did not lose during that period, but my gain was minimal (2lbs) and I did not deprive myself over the holidays. The first time I did Ripped in 30 I lost around 5 lbs and a dress size. As I mentioned, while I did not lose this time I was definelty stronger and had much more endurance.

I am going to start it again from the beginning tomorrow morning. Any one want to jump on board with me? I can't wait to see what my results will be during this post-holiday detox phase

You can list it as 'Circuit Training". I have a heart rate monitor, so I know on the average how many caloires I burn so I actually made it a custon exercise under cardio called JM RI30.

Count me in! I purchased and started this last week to use at home when I can't get to the gym because of snow or scheduling issues. I have no excuse since it's only 30 minutes of my time and doesn't require travel time to the gym.

Tonight is day 3 of level 1.
  • Where can I find the 30 in 30 plan?

Do you guys do it every day for 30 days? I heard Jillian actually recommends doing it every other day/3x per week, which is what I do. However the program doesn't make it very clear one way or the other IMO.

I never do an exercise on consecutive days, to give my muscles a chance to recover. I'm doing C25K (running) 3x/wk and the 30 Day Shred 3x/wk. I'm just curious how other people use the program! :)

(I know this thread is for RI30 but the daily vs alternating days concept is the same as 30DS so I hope it's okay I ask here ;) )

@ homemaker57: Ripped in 30 is done 5/6 days a week and then you change to the next level..30 day shred is ten days per level with 1or 2 days off during a level but many people do it straight through and then take a day off before starting the next level..

I do Ripped in 30 5 days within a 7 day period. So I may do 3 days on 1 day off or 2 days on 1 day off. If you can do 5 days on and 2 days of that probably fine if your knees can take it. Mine can't.

I restarted week 1 on Sunday, I was sluggish last week so wanted to redo. Started with 3lb but think I will raise weight tomorrow. I do 4x week as I like to do my cardio at gym for variety.

Thanks for the answers! Since I'm committed to running I'll stick to fewer days per week for myself.

I just started this today - it's a tough one!! It's similar to the 30 day shred which I like.

How long are you logging it in for? It seemed like the stretching at the end was about 5 minutes but I think the actual workout was longer than 24 minutes that the box said. Any idea?
