Healthy Family Meals Ideas?

So, my whole family is going on a diet, except my younger sister who is already skinny....anyways, that means we needs ideas that feed all four of us, and we do like leftovers just because it's easy to take to school, work, ect. Actually, lunch ideas wouldn't hurt either. We are trying to avoid these overly processed foods like chicken nuggets and ramen noodles, ect. Any idea's would be greatly appreciated! :D Thanks!

I had tried losing weight a few months last year, but when I started college my sceduale got completely overwhelmed, so now here I am, starting fresh! :D

Do you have a big crock pot? you can cook just about anything in a crock pot. healthy soups, chili, a whole chicken (toss in veggies and diced potatoes and you have a whole meal) lasagna. The lists are endless. Are you on Pinterest? You can search healthy crockpot recipies and that can take you to blogs where they even have entire grocery shopping lists printed out for all of the recipies they offer. if you want any ideas on spic how to season meat in a crock pot I'll be happy to elaborate on some of my go-to recipies.

We just cook a meat and add frozen veggies and noodles/rice/potatoes/squash/couscous pretty much.

Or look at crockpot meals. I just like our way because it's extremely easy to log.

I really enjoy http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/ the blog has a bunch of yummy healthy recipies to try. I try to practice portion control when having most foods that way I can enjoy the foods I love and not eliminate them completely. Our lunches tend to be dinner left overs, if none are available I like to make Ham/turkey wraps with hummus, tomatos cucumbers and lettuce.

    some of our favorites include:
spaghetti squash with pasta sauce, veggies and ground meat (beef or turkey)
Brown rice with veggies (peas/carrots or broccoli), roasted chicken
Chicken Fajitas with lots of peppers and onions, served with rice or crockpot refired beans
Soups and Chili made from scratch (great in cold weather)
scrambled eggs and uncured bacon (sometimes I add sauteed mushrooms and peppers to my eggs)

    side ideas:
shredded brussel sprouts with onion and bacon
quinoa (cooked in chicken or veggie broth for more flavor), black beans and corn
    roasted cauliflower
Garden veggie salad (roamine lettuce, spinach leaves, shredded carrots, red/yellow/orange peppers, cucumbers, cherry tomatos, mushrooms, shredded cheese (small amounts) and favorite dressing
    baked sweet potato

    snacks:
    carrots, cucumbers with hummus
Fruits (apples, bananas, oranges, berries, kiwi, pineapple, grapes) when you crave something sweet
    Granola
Tortilla chips and salsa (just watch the portions for the chips)
    peanut butter and bananas
annie's cheddar bunny and pretzel snack mix

Most health and/or weight loss-oriented cookbooks have recipes for four people for dinner and lunch. I really like the Flat Belly Diet Family Cookbook. :) And your younger sister can still eat healthy meals with the rest of the family, even if she may not need to control portions as much!
