Hi I am 22 years old, 5'4 and weigh about 130lbs and my body fat percentage is 22%.
I want to get down to 105 and a 14%. how long do yall think that will take? I eat healthy and only drink water now. I am on a 1000 calorie diet and I go to the gym 2 hours a day.
Thanks!

First, why does it matter how long it will take to get there? Second, what workouts are you doing? And third, eat more.0 -
At your height, 105 would put you underweight. You are already at a healthy weight. If it's vanity you're looking for, I suggest starting some weight lifting to give your body some definition. Otherwise, please rethink your current goals. Also, you're eating too little if you're really eating 1000 calories and working out 2 hours daily.
Also, I suggest you see a doctor.0 -

14% is quite low for a female, is there a particular reason you want to get so low.
You want to lose 8% fat which is approx 10.5pounds.. yet your goal weight loss is 25pounds...where is the other 15pound loss going to come from?? Presumably mostly muscle, fat and some water weight.
You do not have the body fat to lose 25pounds. Your numbers are out of whack and you need to reassess your goals.
Exercising two hours day...then 1000calories is not enough.0 -
105 would put you at an underweight weight for your height. It may not be a good goal for you.
1000 calories is likely to be too little for you. Putting your numbers into a TDEE (http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/) you could eat 1300-1400 without exercise to lose weight and up to 1750 with moderate exercise. Undereating is likely to cause you further health complications down the road.
2 hours a day at the gym seems excessive to me. With a good progressive strength routine you could cut your time at the gym in half and see better results.0 -

Eating 1,000 calories a day is very low, and exercising 2 hours at the gym is over doing it.
This behavior and your goal sound like eating disordered behavior. Please speak with your doctor so that you can get help.0 -
Hi! I'm also 22, 5'4" and about 130lbs.
Right now I eat about 1500 cal/day and lift 4 times a week for about an hour, yoga once a week for an hour. I dance for fun on the weekends so I get a bit of cardio from that too.
Weight has been coming off SO slowly for me lately. Now that I'm down in the healthy range, what's left is vanity fat. Very stubborn!
I'd recommend increasing your calories to at least 1200, and add more lean protein. (Chicken breast, fish, greek yogurt, etc) And lift more weights, do more strength training. You don't need to spend two hours in the gym. Your body needs time to rest and recover!
Feel free to add me if you like, since we have very similar stats we can probably have success from similar strategies~0 -
You eat 1000 calories a day? and workout 2 hours a day at the gym? So your essentially eating nothing and not getting enough nutrients.
Eat more for one.
130 to 105, don't expect to get to that goal fast, you need to lose weight slowly, it's more sustainable.0 -
Get help. You're heading into eating disorder territory, if you're not there already......
Or you're a troll who just wants attention.....0 -
well I just recently gained this weight to 130 a year or so ago I was 105. my doctor was the one who told me to cut back to 1000 calories. I just really wanted to get back down to MY normal size because I am about to get married. I try to eat the 1000 calories a day but I most of the time go over. I just feel like im not getting any results.0

You know, I'd drop that doctor. 1,000 calories is not sustainable for anyone, and I'll say it again-105 pounds is underweight for your height. As I alluded to in my previous post, I think you are heading into dangerous territory and need to speak with a doctor, and not the one who told you to eat 1,000 calories.0 -

Your doctor is an idiot, and doctors as a whole are not very educated in nutrition. If that's you in the picture, you don't need to lose any weight. Besides that, if you're planning a wedding, the last thing you need to stress you out is unnecessary weight loss.0 -

Your doctor is a danger to their patients. Get a new one. You need to eat WAY more than that. Also, pick a HEALTHY goal weight. The one you want is not healthy whatsoever. When is your wedding? If it's soonish, then you need to aim for a more logical goal. If it's like 1-2 years from now, then you will be able to lose a significant amount before then.....but still, please pick a healthier goal.0 -
No. Just, no.0

Thanks for all the info. my wedding is until next august so I have some time.0

If you are 130 lbs at 22% body fat, then your goal weight should be around 120 lbs. That would put you around 17-18% body fat which would make you real lean and close to having a 6 pack. Weight is meaningless and doesn't provide you definition. Body composition is more important and it's better to preserve your muscle mas than have to bulk to make more muscle for definition. Also, there is no reason to workout 2 hours a day. Drop it to 1 hour a day and eat 1700 calories. Lift 3-4 days a week, cut cardio to 2 days a week if you want, throw in a yoga/pilates day. Macro's can be around 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% fats.0

What. No way you should have a deficit of anything over 250 cals/day. Too large of a deficit will lead to a large % of your weight loss coming from lean muscle, not fat.
That and 105 is quite low at 5'4". So right now you currently have 101.4 lbs (130*.78) of lean body mass. If you get to 105 with 14% that would put your LBM at 90.3 (105*.86), so you plan on losing 11.1 (101.4-90.3) of lean body mass? Why not aim for 112-115 at 14%, that would leave you with LBM of 96.3 - 98.9 (112-115*.86), which would be a much better retention of lean body mass.
In order to retain that much lean muscle you will have to have a more reasonable deficit, partake in a strength training routine, and get adequate protein (100 grams or so a day should suffice)0 -
Drop the cardio. Eat at maintenance and lift weights. With 2 hours at the gym every day and only eating 1000, you won't have any hair left for your wedding (ok, I'm exaggerating a little, but it's really that unhealthy).0
