BMR

MFP has my calorie goal at 1400. I have done a little research and my BMR is 1521 and it is not recommended that I eat less than 1705 (for loss of 1 pound per week) here with my goals set at 1 pound per week it is 1400. Now I am confused and don't know how much I should be eating. HELP!

MFP has your goal at 1400 PLUS exercise calories. So with a little exercise you'd be at 1700. Or just go to settings and change your goals to 1705 and don't eat exercise calories. Your choice.

But isn't BMR what I need for just taking in air and beating my heart...like i am in a coma? Which every other site I have checked is around 1500. MFP has my goal 100 calories below the calories I need to be in a coma.

But then you eat back your exercise calories so you're above it.

Or you change it to be a higher number. I like this calculator for figuring what to change it to: http://iifym.com/iifym-calculator/
