ATTENTION TALL FRIENDS (or anyone with around 100 to lose!)

Hey,
I'm a newbie. On January first I started counting calories, and eating better. Here it is January 9th.... And I'VE LOST 9.2 pounds! Is that too fast? I have a goal of 1700 a day, some days I stay under, and some days I go a little over. I'm 6'1, currently 275 and looking to lose around 100 pounds, give or take a little. Being honest, I'd love to aim for 130... But my mom is 5'7 and at 125 she looked like a skeleton. So that is unrealistic I guess. Tall guys and gals, does my goal seem realistic/appropriate? I don't want to be too skinny, I just want to be healthy... And a flat tummy wouldn't hurt either! I have a somewhat large bone build, wide shoulders and narrow hips.. So... What do you guys think? Suggestions/help? Thanks!

I think 130lbs is unrealistic!! You are tall so I think you would look great with 160lbs. But don't rush thing you don"t want to lose too fast because you.might get it back fast!! I'm 5'10" and started with 209lbs. I'm now at 165lbs and I think if I lose another 10 that's gonna ne enough and then I'll start toning up. So I encorage you not to.lose more than 120lbs0

I lost 6lb in my first 4 days (I'm 5"10 and started at 252lb) and it was all water weight so don't worry about that.
I was once 140lb (and skinny fat) and I got a lot of comments about being too thin so I think 130lb is a bad idea for you.
I'm trying to aim for a size rather than a weight now as I want to have muscles and don't want people saying that my arms look like toothpicks again!!0
