Hi, I've just discovered My fitness Pal and I am hoping this is really going to help me lose approx a stone and a half. I'm only 4ft 11 and my weight (2 kids later) has crept up to 9 stone 5 which is the heaviest I have ever been and I don't feel good at all. I have been using the app for only 4 days and can't believe how much it's already opened my eyes to how much I must have been consuming, even though I considered myself reasonably healthy. I'm already feeling re-energised and more focused than I have in years but am still finding I'm quite hungry on 1200 calories. Any ideas for filling but low calorie recipes? Also I've got completely out the way of exercise and am terrified to start. Anyone have any ideas on how to get back into it. I don't have much spare time a week between working and running around after the kids (No excuse I know!) but am a member of a gym/pool which until now I have only really been using to take the kids swimming. Even looking in the gym scares me! Any tips from anyone who has been in a similar position would be much appreciated. I have started and stopped several times over the last couple of years but I really want to succeed this time. x

I've only been here a few days but I total get what you mean!
I've got an app on my phone called pedometer pro, it counts your steps in the day and shows how many calories I have burnt. I think you'd be surprised how many calories you burn running around after kids and just general day to day walking
& Fruit and veg fill me up, you can have a lot for a low number of calories
