I would have thought that this program would have asked about medical conditions. Makes me think it is a load of mumbo jumbo

Is this a program tho, or just a really good, concise way of logging and following our fitness regimes, checking our progress towards goals and meeting like minded people along the way. How can that be mumbo jumbo?0

It's just a place to log your progress and talk to people in similar situations.

There are probably legal concerns involved with making specific medical recommendations. If I were in charge of MFP I'd be very wary of giving medical advice of any kind.
If you've got dietary restrictions you can go in and manually adjust your calories/macros/other diary categories to reflect that. For example if you were supposed to be limiting sodium you could go in and tell it to set your goal lower.0 -
If you have a medical condition you have to see a doctor. No website can substitute one. Don't even try if you mind your own health.0
