Logging Exercise

So, I have done some workout dvds the past couple of mornings, but am unable to log them because these particular dvds are NOT listed in exercises. Is there a place to just add "other" workouts and the calories you burned (I have a hrm)? Just wondering!

With your heart rate monitor stats, go here to calculate your gross burn. Shapesense.com

Then follow the link on the bottom of that page to calculate your net calories burned.

Enter it as whatever cardio you choose, and just set the minutes so the calories match to what your heart rate calculated. Or, make your own new entry for cardio by the DVD name.

You can create your own exercises, if your workout doesn't appear in the database search there's an "Add exercise to database option" near the bottom of the screen.

You can create your own exercises for each DVD (or just a general DVD workout) and fill in the data from your HRM.

Or you can choose the closest exercise and edit the calories to match your HRM reading (aerobics, circuit training, etc)

Does your HRM sync up with your phone by changes? If so, you can use an app that automatically puts it into MFP.

You can create your own exercises for these videos, especially if you have a HRM. Click on add exercise then there should be a link at the bottom that says "Create an Exercise" and you can add it from there.

This is also a link to adding your own exercises: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/exercise/new?date=2014-01-09&type=0
