Lowering carbs, adding proteins..

I have been MFP for about 10 days now and in all my logs I am overdoing my carbs and underdoing my proteins.

Nay suggestions on how to reduce carbs and increase protein intake?

Thanks!!

Do you eat eggs? I find that they are great for loading up on protein but not carbs!
  • Oh yeah... I completely forgot about eggs! lol. Definitely gonna add that to my diet.

Changing to the same is what gave me success in my weight loss, along with strength training. I set my macros to 40% carbs, 30% protein and 30% healthy fats.

I cut out almost all bread and reduced the amount of pasta rice and potatoes. I increased my protein by eating more cooked meats and greek yoghurt. I also used protein bars on days that my protein was low if I had enough cals left over.

    Good luck

    Less bread and more tuna?

I know people witter on about mercury in tuna but it's a staple for me, can't live without it ... spice it up and enjoy ...

Eggs are good too, great filling food.

Mmmmm, spicy scrambled egg, tuna and cheese ... I'm hungry now ... :)

I used to be a carb monster but I find I can moderate more with less cravings if I cut back on the more refined stuff, good luck!

Make lettuce wraps with deli meats or tuna instead of bread
Or I use one piece of bread instead of two
Some Good sources of protein are tuna, eggs, plain Greek yogurt, nuts, tofu, shrimp, crab, all meat(obviously!)
I also cut out all rice, pasta and most potatoes because that's what works for me
