If TDEE sedentary and MFP are the same thing...

Why do my values come out so drastically different? According to MFP, if I want to lose 1.5 lbs/week with a sedentary setting, that would be 1,240 calories/day. According to TDEE, if I set it to sedentary, my BMR is 1596 and my TDEE to maintain is 1915. In order to get to 1,240 calories/day with the TDEE calculator, that would be TDEE - 35% which is ridiculous.
Remember, this is with both set at sedentary, so technically, exercise should not be included in either. So why such a drastic difference??

You're getting more calories with mfp but it's essentially the same. Sedentary TDEE of 1915-750 (deficit required to lose 1.5lbs/week)=1165. Mfp gave you 1240. That's only a 75cal difference.0
