Hey all, I've just signed up and I'm loving this website so far!

Anyway, I've decided to start my diet today, I was going to start properly in the new year, but I bet you can see how that went.. I've stuffed my face! Feel frumpy and horrible about myself.

I'm currently 13st 5lbs, want to be 10st.

I'm just so anxious about Christmas! I always overeat and drink and can't see myself being good over christmas.. please help! Any tips?

hiya, i think we need to worry about christmas nearer the time. if you get started now, log everything including your exercise, eat your allocated cals plus those you earn by moving, you will lose some weight n then at christmas you will wanna protect that.

you will have slip ups, when you do just pick up the next day, GOOD LUCK!
  • Thank you for replying, y'know you're right, I don't know why I'm worrying, just take each day at a time and as my fiancee says 'You're in control of what you put in your mouth'! So right!

I think you will find that after a couple of months on this website, you won't find Christmas such a temptation, you get into a mindset where it just seems to become part of who you are to question 'do I really need more?'

Yes, I am a little concerned - I am sure I will go over my calories every day during the festive period, and as my gym is council-run it is closed for almost a week around Christmas/New Year so exercising will be trickier. But I am confident I will not be binging as much as in previous years - because I have absolutely no desire to undo all my good work!! And I'm sure most people will feel the same? I guess I will put on a little weight again, but nothing I can't work off in a few hard-core skinny weeks after Christmas is over!

You can most certainly still enjoy yourself - eat, drink and be merry - but without feeling like a greedy, bloated piggy at the end of the day!! It's much more about portion control than denying yourself anything!

    Good luck!!
