BMR and exercise calories

Hi all,
I have recently been reading that a lot of people say that you should eat your BMR as a minimum.
Online calculators tell me my BMR is about 1650 and my TDEE 2200…so therefore I am aiming to eat slightly above by BMR.
If I eat 1700 calories then burn 200 exercising…I will NET 1500 calories, which is below my BMR…do I need to NET above my BMR?

    go by your TDEE and your TDEE should always include your activity level so you shouldnt have to add extra calories in for exercise.


    so say for instance is your total TDEE is 2200 and it includes your activity level, then you should be eating 1700 calories in order to lose approx. 1 pound of fat a week .

    no need to worry about net if you're doing the TDEE method
