How does this site compare?

All,
I was using "Tap and Track" on my iPhone. I thought it was the best and then I found this site. I read the reviews of this site and the thing that is attracting me the most is the chatter of the large food database this one has.
Can anyone tell me how this site compares to other calorie counters? Any else ever use "Tap and Track" ?
Thanks...

I have never used Tap and Track, but I have used Lose it and my net diary pro. I think MFP has the best database, by far. I rarely have to enter anything on my own, even most recipes from eatingwell.com are already entered. I have been logging in here for 30 days now, the longest I have ever stuck with a food diary site/app.0

I love that it is member contributed (the database that is) Most of the time when there is a food data base it will only have American foods, and I love finding stuff from Tesco and ASDA in the lists! Only been using this program and Android app for less than a week, but out of the 3 or so I have previously used I like this one the best.0

Wow, so we can add foods to the database? Is that vetted for accuracy before its available to all of us?0

I liked the Live Strong one too but you have to pay a yearly fee to access it on your phone. BOO!! This one is pretty comparable and it's free.0

I'm not sure if they check the accuracy of foods you add. I added something a while ago and it did not appear in the data base for almost a week so they most likely do. More importantly other members can vouch for nutritional info on foods added.0

I was using Fit Day before this but found their database pretty limited. I also couldn't break down my meals into B, L, D, S like we can here.0

I used to use Calorie King, which was recommended to me by my trainer, before I had the baby. Obviously I stopped tracking while I was pregnant, but there was an annual fee over there. So, when I decided to get back on track after having my daughter I found MFP. I find it to be as good if not better that CK. There are many more foods in the database here, and the site is easier to navigate. The only thing CK had more of was educational "classes" on nutrition and how it affects your body. I love MFP. I would not go back to CK after finding this site.0

You will have to check for accuracy generally if something is confirmed so many times I don't, but I love MFP, I was on 2 sites before I came here I love it!0

Thanks Niko, what about the exercises? How accurate are the calories burned to the exercises? Thanks for replying.0

I know you asked someone else, but...here I go most of the excercises are pretty accurate, I have a HRM and I found them to be close, as close as livestrong, and sparkpeople! Good luck I hope you have as much success here as I am !0
