If I stated that I want junk food, would you tell me "First go look at your nude reflection in the mirror, then you have my permission"...??

Not sure where you're going with this, but no, I'd probably say if you have the space in your macros, go for it.0

That is definitely not what I would tell you. However, what I would say is dependent on many other things. So what are you trying to find out?0

First of all, if this is another person in your life telling you this, you need to seriously work on some boundaries.
If you are just talking to yourself, trying to find motivation not to eat junk, I don't know, this statement could work. It depends on which type of motivation works for you. I tend to think positive reinforcement and encouragement work better and are better for your mental health than shame and punishment.
You need to decide what is reasonable for you to eat: no junk food at all, once a week, once a day, portion size, etc. to stay within your calorie goal. You can plan for that treat with no guilt. Have clear goals and motives set out (in your mind, or even write them down) as to why you want to lose weight, things that you can remind yourself are more important than that candy bar or whatever.
On the other hand, if you have the tendency to go crazy and binge once you allow yourself a bite of junk, then you need to look for solutions to the emotional issues that food is (temporarily) solving for you, even if it is just boredom, escapism, entertainment, and use those strategies to keep you from starting in on the junk. If that's the case, come on over to the Binge-Eating support group; they've got a lot of suggestions for online resources, books and the support of other MFPers!0 -
No, I will not shame and humiliate you in an attempt to "motivate". Sorry!0

No. I ate an entire container of ice cream in three days because it fit my calories and macros. Cutting out "junk" would have caused me to fail long ago.0

Wait until tomorrow, if you still want junk have it, log it and move on0

No....but I'd probably ask if you thought it was going to effect your health negatively, neutrally or positively...and if it was really "worth it"0

Yep, this. You should allow yourself only that which is really worth it. I have a meal category for that! And to each his own.0 -

No, I'd say have one serving (just ONE) to get it out of your system and then move on. :drinker:0

I'm not sure where you are going with this either. Are you looking to eat healthier, or just saying someone said that to you? If the latter I absolutely would not tell you that.0

No one should ever say anything like that to another person. So if someone is saying that to you... then tell them to go **** themselves... If YOU are saying that to yourself then you need to look at your own body/food issues.
Now if you are asking if it is OK to eat the junk food, then I have one question, does it fit your calorie goal? If yes, then go for it. I have planned pizza for dinner tonight, it fits my calorie goals so yes I am having it, I also ate chocolate today, and yesterday and the day before.....0
