Magic Bullet users?

I received a Magic Bullet for Christmas and am deciding if I should keep it or return it for a stronger model (Nutri Bullet maybe - I don't have $ for super fancy). I am really looking to make Green Smoothies so trying to decide if the MB will pulverize my veggies enough so that I won't gag! Any thoughts?

I use the magic bullet. It blends spinach well. I haven't tried adding in nuts or anything like that.

I have a 5-year-old magic bullet on its last legs, but it still blends up frozen berries and such, so I think you'll be okay!

The Nutribullet is the bomb for smoothies. Grinds up flax seed too .. well worth the price. Vitamix can kiss my ***.

We have used our magic bullet for years now and will probably be replacing it soon! It is starting to struggle with entire frozen bananas. For the typical small chunks of frozen fruit, mainly berries, yogurt, kale, spinach, along these lines it has performed very well for at least 3-4 years! Also pretty much puréed baby food for 2 kids through this time!

Never used fresh veggies such as carrots, broccoli and such in the raw form so I cannot comment on how well it works for these.

    Hope this helps!

I loved my Magic Bullet - right up until it started leaking bearing oil into my smoothies.

I definitely support your thought to upgrade it to something more powerful. A friend has the nutribullet, and loves it. I have the Ninja kitchen system, which is a bit more powerful again, and I swear by it (though I can't compare it to the nutribullet directly). The 'gold standard' of blenders seems to be the Vitamix, but at $400 it should be.
