I shoveled snow for 3 1/2 hours, not constant I was also pushing around a salt spreader. Lot's of walking, I am a maintenance man for an apartment complex. I'm trying to figure out how many calories I burned (approx) anyone else have any ideas let me know.

It's actually in the exercise tracker for you to input as a workout. If you didn't shovel the whole time, maybe log the time as 2/3 of the time you were out there?

yep, I track my snow shoveling, it's there. I usually only put 1/2 the time that I actually did it since the calories burned seems high to me.

The only problem I have with the "shoveling snow" entry is there's no way I know of - other than fudging the time spent - to distinguish between shoveling 1/2 an inch of fine powder for an hour, and shoveling 18 inches of wet, heavy snow for that same hour.

the entry is there I would just fiddle with the amount of time though since you weren't actually shoveling the whole time

Well I shoveled snow the whole time for 1 hour and my armband said I burned about 500 calories or a little more. But I am female and bigger in the weight department so it would be less for you in what you burn an hour or so.

I'm thinking that if i call it brisk walking that would be fairly accurate, I'd rather be on the low side so I don't sabotage my weight loss.
