Does anyone have the Fitbit Force

My husband opted for the Force but it's not counting all of his steps. When he is on the treadmill, he goes with a high incline and then holds onto the handles when he walks. The treadmill readout was 220 calories and the Fitbit said 55 calories. Fitbit said he walked around 380 steps when he did 1.5 miles on the treadmill.

Any suggestions on how to make sure the count is more accurate? I talked him into a fitbit (I have the One and LOVE it!) so I want him happy with it.

I have always wondered how accurate the wrist models were. Of course we bought it on Amazon because of two day shipping and I had a credit (price was the same as fitbit site) I know if you buy from Fitbit they will exchange it for another model within 45 days.

I've noticed the same thing and I'm not holding onto anything and walking normally. Today I went on a 35 minute walk/ 2.1 miles and it said I exercised for 16 minutes and only said I did 3000 steps and 1.3 miles. I have the flex and bought it from target on Black Friday. Not sure what I need to do to make it more accurate, I don't like how it doesn't count my steps when that's the main thing it's supposed to do accurately. This is not the first time this has happened. I'm following to see if anyone has advice. Thanks.

I have used the Force now for two months, its tracking the movement of the arm its on. If you go into settings on your dashboard/personal info/body info there is a place to put your actual stride length and running stride length. The following is from the Fitbit Help.

Fitbit trackers calculate distance by multiplying your walking steps and walking stride length. Similarly, your running steps are multiplied by your running stride length. By default, stride length is determined using your height and gender. If you feel that your distance measurement isn't being accurately tracked, you may want to adjust your stride length:
1.Go to a track or somewhere that you know the exact distance of.
2.Count your steps as you walk across that distance, making sure you travel at least 20 steps.
3.Divide the total distance (in feet) taken by the number of steps to get your stride length.
Your running stride can be calculated the same way, only by running a known distance rather than walking.
To adjust your stride length on your Dashboard, please do the following:
    1.Log into your Fitbit.com Dashboard.
2.Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of your Dashboard and select "Settings."
3.You will see a field for Stride Length and Running Stride Length. From here, you can manually enter your personal stride length. If you leave these blank, your profile will estimate these values based on your height and gender.
4.Click the "Update Profile" button to save your changes. Note that a sync will be required to update your tracker with your new stride measurements.
